Social and Private Housing

Alpha Rail specialises in the manufacture of high quality metal railings and gates which are suitable for social and private housing developments.

The products we have manufactured for social housing projects include juliette balconies for multi floor buildings, metal railings for park and garden areas, entrance gates, decorative archways and other bespoke metalwork. We have also installed metalwork across open spaces within high rise buildings to prevent falls from height, as well as balustrade and handrails for internal stair cores. For developments on riverside locations we have installed perimeter boundaries to prevent people from accidentally falling or tripping into rivers or canals.

All metal residential railings from Alpha Rail are supplied galvanised in order to protect against corrosion and ensure longevity. They can also be polyester powder coated in a choice of RAL colours to match the local environment. Developers of social housing projects often prefer to install metal railings rather than cheaper wooden fencing as they are lower maintenance, withstand wear and tear better and do not have to be painted every year.

We are also proud to be able to offer bespoke metalwork should you wish to incorporate names,  logos or other designs as a feature of your project. Our CAD design specialists can also provide you with a 3D drawing to show exactly how your architectural metalwork will look once installed.

If you are an architect or surveyor looking to specifying metal railings on your next project please visit our technical drawing section.

Liam Kelly, Senior Site Manager at the Hill Group said “Fish Island Village is a unique development in the heart of a busy London borough. The service Alpha Rail has provided was incredibly professional and very time efficient, especially with so many contractors on site and working to a tight time deadline”
