Maida, Wellesley is a brand new housing development based in Hampshire forming the first phase of an exciting project for which Alpha Rail has manufactured and supplied metal railings and gates.
Located on Queens Road, the new development consists of one and two bedroom apartments as well as 2,3,4 and 5-bedroom houses. When completely built, the Wellesley project will comprise 3850 new homes, two new primary schools, the creation of green spaces from reclaimed land as well as the refurbishment of six local listed buildings.
As part of an on-going project that will last until the completion of the scheme, Alpha Rail has been appointed by Bellway Homes to supply vertical bar metal railings, mounted on top of brick walls built to create an elegant entranceway to the development.
So far we have supplied several single leaf gates and 650 linear metres of 1200mm high vertical bar metal railings and 102 linear metres of 468mm high vertical bar railings. All metal work was galvanized and powder coated to RAL 9005 black.
As the walls involved many right angles and curvatures, we visited the site to conduct a thorough survey to determine slopes and gradients and measure the rakes and radiuses to ensure the railings were manufactured to the these precise measurements. Doing so ensured the installation team would be able to fit the railings with the minimum of fuss.
Commenting, Phil Ball, Sales Director at Alpha Rail said “We are proud to be an part of on-going project in which our products are contributing towards the creation of the right first impression for would be home owners visiting the site. We now look forward to providing suitably aesthetic boundaries to individual homes such that their new owners are all the more excited about moving into their new property.”
He added, “Feedback from our customer is that Alpha Rail delivered a very thorough and professional service. The railings met the technical specification perfectly, were installed on time as promised, and have received excellent feedback from visitors to the site.”
