Loading Bay Walkway Segregation for Sangenic International in Mansfield

Pedestrian guardrail, manufactured by Alpha Rail has recently been installed at the headquarters of Sangenic International Ltd to provide loading bay walkway segregation.

Located at the Oakham Business Park in Mansfield, Sangenic International Ltd manufactures and distributes baby accessory products to countries across the globe. The Sangenic Brand falls under the Global Tommee Tippee range of feeding, soothing and hygiene accessories.

Sangenic Health and Safety Manager, John Palmer was tasked with improving pedestrian and vehicle segregation on site. It was decided that the installation of pedestrian guardrail would provide more robust protection to segregate walkways from vehicle loading bays and help to prevent employees from accidentally walking into unsafe areas during vehicle movements and whilst loading is in progress.

Since the installation of safety barriers to provide loading bay walkway segregation has been completed, subsequent audits from both Sangenic insurers and landlords have resulted in highly positive feedback.

After initially being contacted, Alpha Rail visited the Sangenic company headquarters to get an understanding of the project and conduct a thorough site survey. We took precise measurements of the location to calculate how many metres of pedestrian guardrail would be required.

As part of the project, it was agreed that Alpha Rail would remove the existing railings and replace them with reinforced pedestrian guardrail. In total 38 linear metres of M1 pedestrian guardrail was installed to various locations on site, so as to prevent pedestrian access into potentially health hazardous areas.

The pedestrian guardrail installed was supplied galvanised and polyester powder RAL 1023 traffic yellow for high visibility purposes.
