New value found in parks and greenspace during COVID-19 lockdown

Alpha Rail has always been passionate about the preservation of our beloved parks and open spaces across the UK, as they are a fantastic way to be out in the fresh air doing exercise, walking dogs, and enjoying the nature and scenery.

During times of uncertainty with COVID-19 changing the way we do things; we can now see the importance of our parks more than ever. Parks and green spaces give us the opportunity to get out of the house while still remaining safe, being able to maintain social distancing and stay within all guidelines.

For a long time, public parks were one of the only places that were still accessible during the peak of the virus, so it is highly possible that new value was discovered in parks by those who previously didn’t give them much thought. Due to this, we can hopefully observe an increase in visitors to public parks and green spaces as things continue to return to normality.

It would be good to see more funding allocated by central government in appreciation of the above, leading to more park restorations in the future, which is an area Alpha Rail has worked in for over 35 years. We would be delighted to see our parks and spaces secured for future generations to enjoy for years to come.

When it comes to metal railings around the perimeter of a park, a wide array of options are available such as the popular range of Alpha Rail vertical bar railings, which comes in five different designs.
