Alpha Rail received a request from Alexandre, the director of St James Residential Limited, to supply flat bar balustrade for Putney Town Rowing Club. Located on the River Thames in London, Putney Town Rowing Club is a friendly community of rowers. St James Residential, a building developer, embarked on a significant project involving a complete refurbishment at the club.

Project Brief

Putney Town Rowing Club engaged St James Residential to oversee a full refurbishment at their facility. This included constructing a balcony that encircled the entire building. Our role was to design and manufacture railings for the balcony, incorporating a slot to accommodate a timber handrail provided by another company.

For the new balcony, we recommended  Flat Bar balustrade as the best railing type. After conducting a thorough site survey, we manufactured and delivered the railings for installation.

The Results

The project was successful. Our railings elegantly complemented the balcony, seamlessly integrating with the wooden handrail and enhancing the overall modern aesthetic of the space.

St James Residential Limited were very happy with the results of our project and Putney Rowing club where very happy with the finished results of the whole project and the part we had to play in it.
