A new project at the Filton site in Bristol has seen the supply and installation of more pedestrian guardrail to the same specification of a previous project on an Airbus site.
The Filton production site is responsible for the design, engineering and support for Airbus wings, fuel systems and integration of landing gears, along with aerodynamics research and development. Filton is also the birthplace of Concorde, which in 2003 made its final flight there to be permanently kept as the centrepiece of Aerospace Bristol Museum.
Working with Steve Walker Fencing Contractors Ltd, who installed the metalwork, Alpha Rail manufactured and supplied 150 linear metres of M1 pedestrian guardrail. These were galvanised as standard to BS EN ISO 1461, followed by a polyester powder coated finish in blue to match the Airbus site standard colours.
