Ibstock Place School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 3 to 18, located on the edge of Richmond Park in south west London.
The campus was undergoing building and landscaping works to improve the overall appearance and security of the school.
Prior to being commissioned to manufacture the railings and gates for this project we had worked extensively with the architect to provide ideas and conceptual drawings.
As well as manufacturing and installing 150m of 2m high vertical bar railings we provided two double leaf metal gates. One of which was an automated entrance gate to control access to the school to authorised individuals and safeguard the protection and security of the children and teachers. We discussed the variety of ways to restrict access such as pass codes, security tags, number plate recognition, remote devices and voice control.
In order to ensure the powered access metal gates we supply are compliant with latest Health & Safety legislation and directives (BSEN12453 2001) we partnered with specialist access gate contractors who installed the gates on our behalf. This way our client still benefited from our bespoke metalwork manufacturing expertise and custom design services.
"All the various architects and contractors have been impressed with the proactive advice provided by Alpha Rail and how well they have collaborated with us on this project. The quality of their products is superb and school is delighted with the end result."- Alan Rodbourne, Director, Cooper Clarke Construction Limited
