Pedestrian Guardrail, Euston Bus Station, London

Location:

Transport for London

Project Overview

Created in 2000, Transport for London (TFL) is the local government body responsible for most aspects of the transport system in Greater London. Its role is to implement the transport strategy and to manage transport services across London. It is accountable to the Mayor of London and responsible for delivering the Mayor’s Transport Strategy.

Alpha Rail Solution

Alpha Rail has been an appointed supplier to Transport for London and its predecessors for Pedestrian Guardrail for over twenty years. As well as supplying the pedestrian guardrail used to guide users of London’s many bus stations, towards safe walkways, we also provide an emergency call out service to promptly replace guardrail panels that get accidentally damaged.

To ensure we meet the required operating standards, Alpha Rail keeps a stock of pedestrian guardrail panels for TFL which they call off as the need arises. Once a job has been notified, our surveyor visits the site to assess requirements and arranges the supply of the damaged panels. Where raked or radius panels are required they are also manufactured quickly and supplied to site.

We have supplied pedestrian guardrail in a variety of galvanised polyester powder coated RAL colours to match the local environment at a number of bus stations across greater London, including Euston bus station in the centre of London, which is very busy, as it is the main entrance for both rail and bus terminals.

"We take passenger safety and transport needs very seriously and need to be able to rely on our supply partners to both share this ethos and deliver a prompt and reliable service. We are also aware that London is a huge visitor attraction and needs to always look at its best. Alpha Rail have proved themselves to be a company that supplies quality products and a reliable and trustworthy after care support."
