The First Mill End Scout Group, Hertfordshire

Client Overview:

For this project Alpha Rail was contacted by Malcom, who is a Landscape Architect and Chairperson in board of trustees at a local scout group. The local scout group is the First Mill End Scout Group located in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.

Project Brief

The First Mill End Scout group were looking to replace an old fence that they have to keep their scouts building secure, this was very run down, and they wanted us to completely remove this fence and add some new railings/gates to the front of their property. They wanted a double leaf gate one side for vehicles and one side for pedestrians (wide enough for push chairs/wheelchairs etc.)

We’re able to advise on design, size and other technical specifications. In this specific project, our approach was clear – Play Safe Bow Top Railings –  were the right product for the job.

For this project we started by communicating with Malcom to find out exactly what it is they wanted from us. We would be in charge of removing their old fence and installing new gates and railings at the front of the property.

We provided a survey of the area and all the technical drawings needed for the gates.

We then created green gates and railings. The double leafed gate had one side for vehicle access, so much longer, and the other side was created for pedestrian access so much smaller. Both with locks that are capable of locking with a bolt.

The Results

This project turned out super well for Alpha Rail and the clients at The First Mill End Scout Group had some really positive comments to say about this project we worked on for them.
