Project Overview

Alpha Rail has been involved in the replacements of some railings in Pontypridd, Wales. The railings that were replaced were ruined due to flooding. The flood, caused by storm Dennis in February 2020, triggered the highest river level since 1970. In Pontypridd, at least 158 properties were flooded, which includes 80 homes. The railings were badly rusted and some were even removed from the wall. We were required to fabricate railings that were an exact replica, design and dimensions.

Alpha Rail Solution

We were engaged by TJ Fencing Ltd (who were contracted by Hammonds ECS on behalf of Rhonnda Cynon Taf Council) who installed the metalwork. Alpha Rail manufactured 82.6 linear meters of  vertical bar. This product was galvanised as standard to BS EN ISO 1461. Our vertical bar metal railings are very versatile and the galvanised finish means it is resistant to rust. All of our railings are bespoke made to suite client requirements. All of our railings are made inline with BS 1722 Part 9 2006.   For any enquiries on guardrail, vertical bar railings or anything else, contact us via the tab above.

""I am very happy with the results , as always. The railings are of a high quality and perfect for what we needed.""
